Campaign Zero: Police Union Contracts

Client: Campaign Zero

Campaign Zero is a highly data-based reform campaign that seeks to reduce police misconduct through policy proposals. Often, these policies are currently in-use and successful in several police departments.

A key focus of the Campaign is the drafting of fair police union contracts. Campaign Zero’s researchers have found that police union contracts often make it more difficult to hold police officers accountable for misconduct. In this report, our job was to visually explore the ways in which this happens, and how it can be changed.
